Gaming addiction is a mental disorder characterized by a) intense feelings of pleasure and guilt when playing the game(s), 2) obsession about the game(s) even when not playing, 3) playing the game(s) for hours, interfering with social, family, and work life, 4) symptoms of withdrawal when prevented from playing the game(s) for a prolonged period of time, and 5) uncontrollable feeling to play the game(s).[1]
