Chihiro Jimbo (born April 11, 1990) is a senior undergraduate student at the University of Michigan, studying social computing informatics and anthropology.

Early life

Chihiro Jimbo was born in Tokyo on April 11th, 1990 to Masahito Jimbo, a family physician, and Mitsuko Jimbo. She was their second child, five years younger than brother, Masaya Jimbo.

The Jimbo family moved from Tokyo to Philadelphia, PA when Chihiro was three years old. Chihiro began to learn the violin, which she ended up studying for twelve years. The family frequented the Philadelphia Academy of Natural Sciences and the Philadelphia Museum of Art on weekends, contributing to Chihiro's interests in Archaeology, Paleontology, and the Arts.

The family moved again, from Philadelphia to Southern Pines, NC when Chihiro was six years old.
