History
Twitch.tv was founded in 2011; however, its roots go back to Justin.tv, formed in 2007 by Justin Kan and Emmet Shear. With the gaming portion of the newly launched Justin.tv taking off, the company moved their focus to creating Twitch.tv where content could be viewed live or watched on demand.
