Ryuta Oshikiri is a senior in social computing. He was born in California, raised in Texas, and has lived in Northville, Michigan for the past 7 years. Northville's only claims to fame are having a horse racing track and housing the first psych ward to implement electroshock therapy. The psych ward is now deserted, though.

Ryuta works at the school of education as a temp student providing computer support but in actuality tends to do homework and watch a LOT of movies on netflix instead. He is not a huge proponent of Netflix's new plan to separate dvd rental and streaming on into two separate services, but it's still useful for keeping him awake at work.

In addition to his studies, Ryuta (or Rytua, or chopa-chopa-chopa, as his friends affectionately butcher his name)is a 4th year member of the michigan marching band trombone section and you can see him in the block M on gamedays before the team runs out of the tunnel. He also enjoys playing soccer and cooking food.

Ryuta would also like to add that he streams soccer games from time to time during lecture, but promises that he does pay attention. Especially after the game.
