Talk:Spoofing in Media

Your article is formatted well and looks professional. The length is great, but I think you could expand more in certain areas, such as the ‘Presentation As Truth’ section. You have an introduction, which is clear and straight to the point. The body of the article includes multiple sections with examples of spoofing, as well as statements backed up by reliable sources. However, there are certain areas where I think it would be best to link a reference. For example, the definition of spoofing in your introductory paragraph should link to the source of the definition. The ethical issues with spoofing are clear within your examples of spoofing. I think you did a specifically good job at this when discussing the ways that users may be misled into thinking that a deep fake video is real, which is why I think it would be helpful to expand on this idea in your last section to show readers why the issues at hand are so important. While the majority of the article is entirely objective, I found a few points where I think wording could be modified to improve objectivity. For example, when describing the deep fake of Keanue Reeves stopping a robbery, you describe his actions as ‘heroic.’ You do a great job at not arguing a point, instead simply describing the controversy. Great job overall!
