The length of the article so far fulfills the requirement of at least 1000 words. The article has the 3 major components of a good article. The definition and background section does a good job of introducing the issue, but could use more sources and objective framing to introduce the issue. For example, the sentence "people generally gravitate towards media that aligns with their inherent biases, which renders them more prone to the misinformation coming from those sources" may seem like common sense, but using a citation here could help make it more objective and fact based. It also might be beneficial to make a distinction between misinformation and disinformation at some point, especially in the line that says "misinformation can be intentional or unintentional". The author also did a great job of explicitly explaining ethical issues by including an "ethical concerns" section. You might consider adding examples of legal battles, court rulings, and major big tech controversies surrounding ethical concerns of misinformation if you can find any. Lastly, the author did a good job of not including their personal opinions. It might help to strengthen objectivity if you include more real-world examples of debates surrounding misinformation and going into greater detail about both sides.
