Hi Meera,

Your introduction was a great way to hook in the reader, and I enjoyed the image you painted of your Facebook account. I think you did a good job of explaining how your early Facebook usage was a more or less accurate reflection of yourself, and then transitioning into what your Facebook account has become today and how it has affected how much you portray about yourself. I would have liked to learn more about how your struggles to control your Facebook audience and the persona you painted online clashed with who you are wholly in real life. You could probably bring up some very interesting inner conflicts and thoughts as to how to control online information about yourself.

I would like to see you expand upon your "Perhaps it was Propaganda" section. I wanted to know why you used Facebook mainly for strongly worded opinions and statuses and what you were trying to accomplish by posting those thoughts on social media with your name associated with it (as opposed to an anonymous social media platform). I liked how you talked about how you came back to use Facebook briefly in order to share news about an important project you worked on, and I am curious as to whether or not there were any ramifications or consequences during your brief return. Finally, I think it would be interesting to elaborate more on how your disconnection has helped make you feel freer, and how your portrayal and perspective on yourself has changed because of social media.

There are a few spelling and grammatical errors in your writing, so I suggest you do a thorough combing of your content. You have a solid chronological flow of your Facebook history, and I enjoyed reading your perspective and reasons for your transitional Facebook usage. The layout and style of the page is beautiful; you did a fantastic job and I enjoyed reading this!

Sincerely,
George Lu

Hi Meera!!

Great job on your avatar! I really enjoyed the flow and the organization of your page. It showed thoughtfulness and planning. The background information that you provided about your family and friends helped me understand how you interact with the site. I also enjoyed how you made a clear timeline of how your view of Facebook and how your view of yourself on Facebook has changed over the years.

One particular theme I saw in your article was the challenge of trying to appease multiple audiences. At the end, you mentioned that on your Instagram you have managed to create a trusted group of followers. It would be interesting to see you add a section on audiences. Since you have a variety of friends from different countries, it would be interesting to know how the standards from these different groups vary or are similar on a deeper level. I am also curious to know what makes your group on Instagram trusted. Is it that they have similar views or is it that they have a better understanding of who you are as a person?

I really enjoyed reading your page and am excited to read more!
