To Margaret, It's really funny that you share a name with the former Prime Minister of Canada’s wife, that must have made finding yourself online fairly difficult initially. It's extra cool that you two are actually related. It was cool that you chose to expand upon the identity that Facebook had mapped out of you and were able to weave readings into your findings and beliefs. In addition, it was pretty neat how you cited the story about your Bernie Sanders-obsessed friend and how that related to the way Facebook can sometimes unknowingly draw more data out about ourselves from us. Expounding on the meanings and consequences of being newly engaged on Facebook as well as the meaning of the ring in real life was a really great way to delve into Cocking's “passive” aspects of our selves in conjunction with our public expression. I really liked the way you concluded your post, it was a great way to end. I think you did an excellent job assessing your data identity relative to the “real you.” You did a fantastic job elaborated on your chosen examples while managing to keep readers engaged. The post flowed very well and was easy to follow.

Hey Margaret, great post! I'd definitely say you had one of the most interesting data identity searches with the coincidence of your name. I think you did a great job overcoming the obstacle of not finding yourself in a quick Google search, which was most people's first step in this assignment to find themselves. I also really liked how you tied in course readings from your search as they really strengthed the consequence of the things you were finding about your identify.

As for some tips to use for your revision, I would suggest adding in a thesis statement at the beginning of your post. Right now you jump right into searching for yourself and the results of that search. I think that having a slightly more developed introduction, with a thesis statement that gives the reader an overall theme to look for in the rest of the post, would be a great thing to add. And since you had a great use of course readings, I think a thesis that incorporates one of these reading ideas or concepts would be interesting to look into. I would also suggest trying to dig into data broker records (even if they don't end up turning up anything), because your search seems limited to just the Facebook data. And finally, adding some formatting or sections to separate the different ideas or parts of your search would be great to add for your revision.

You have a great post here I look forward to seeing your revision!
