Kayla, it was interesting how you wrote your statement in a question and answer format, and I am wondering why you chose to do that; if it was because most google searches are in the form of a question, then I think it was a nice and unique touch. I saw that a few sections of the report was not written in this format and would have liked to have seen consistency. Many people have a negative perception of having a common name, and that example of people sending you another Kayla William’s email is the same thing that happens to me often. I never thought of it in a context where you can easily hide from the rest of the internet. In the “Who is Kayla Williams?” section, I would have liked to see more of your self-reflection rather than a list of results you received from Instant Checkmate. It was, however, interesting to read what the data broker thought was part of your identity when it definitely was not. The “Did I find the real me” section starts off with an incomplete sentence, and the report does show some grammar mistakes, so I would be careful about proofreading for next time. Overall, a really great report seeing that this assignment could have been difficult for you as your name is so common.

Hello Kayla Williams, I found your wiki page to be very interesting in that it highlighted the things that you didn't find out about yourself on the internet rather than all of the things that you did find, as many other students did. From your opening, the part I found most interesting as in paragraph 2 and how you said that Kayla Williams could be a linguist, author, etc. depending on which Kayla you find online. I thought this was very interesting in that your identity is not only hidden from others on the internet but also there are many other identities linked to your specific name. I found this very interesting and it was a completely different angle than that taken by other students. The only small issue that I had with this wiki page is that you didn't go very in depth on the reflection of the identity that you did find for yourself. Although this could have been understandably hard due to the lack of information about you. Lastly, another thing that I liked was how you kind of criticized the data broker information, which wasn't accurate to you, even though that is the sole purpose of the data brokers. In a time that people are under constant surveillance and almost everything is known about them, you have shown that there are still some identities that are hard to define online. Overall, very well written and the only thing that I would change is to add some more personal reflection.
