Hi Guadalupe, I would definitely recommend incorporating at least one reading from the class. I found your post to be very amusing and engaging. You seemed to have done a very thorough search of your online identity. Good job comparing what you found to what was actually true. I think it's interesting that you are so conscious about the digital footprint that you leave online. The data broker sites left me with a similar feeling of feeling violated. Overall, I think you did a great job assessing your data identity relative to the you that you think is the “real you." The flow of your post was really good, I felt like I was on your journey with you to discover your data identity. The only other thing I would suggest is maybe to include headers in your post just to make it easier to navigate around in case readers want to loop back and reference a thought. Also, maybe include a picture or two of things relevant to the post. Great job!

Hi Guadalupe,

I really enjoyed reading your blog post and learning more about your story. From a stylistic perspective, I really enjoyed the tone of your post and was able to learn more about you based on the tone you used and the diction you chose. From a stylistic perspective, my advice for you is to is segment your post more into sections so that your arguments and thought process are made more clear.

I thought your interaction with “mylife.com” was very interesting and I think you could connect that to a larger more objective topic from class and what exactly is meant by the “reputation” score and what goes into compiling that score.

The concluding paragraph of your blog post had an very interesting point being made about pigeonholed based on various profilings. I think if you mention this early on this a very interesting bigger picture argument that you could easily weave into your thesis statement. Additionally, you could easily tie in class discussion topics about whether or not having advertisements and search results that are catered to just you are ethical on a broad sense. This would be a great way to tie in concepts from class!

Good luck!
