The length of the article, according to Google Docs, is 858 words, which falls just below the required length of 900-1100 words. The article has an opening paragraph that clearly summarizes the issues surrounding data monopolies. After just reading the opening paragraph, it was clear to me how serious of an issue data monopolies are. The article contains a body with one or more sections. The section “The Monopoly of Attention” is clear, well-written, and to the point. Additionally, the section does an excellent job of explaining how companies in big tech having a monopoly on their users’ attention leads to them having a monopoly on their data. I would suggest that you expand on your ethical concerns of privacy, transparency, and competition and separate them into respective sections. Otherwise, the ethical issues you exposed in the article make the issue of data monopolization clear, and I understand why they are important. I think that adding a section on the over collection and misuse of data is a great idea, in that it will further explain why data monopolies are a serious issue. The article is written objectively and contains a neutral point of view. Additionally, the article is backed up by reliable sources, which ensures the accuracy and credibility of the information.
