1) Length

You are off to a great start! You are not quite at 3,000 words, so just remember to reach that word count before next Friday (1/11).

2) Structure

Opening paragraph

I like your opening paragraph! I think that you give a nice overall summary. One suggestion that I have for this section is to mention that Amazon Prime Video can be used online or through a mobile app.

Body

a) History:

Regarding your “History” section, I think you are on the right track! I like the information you included about Unbox. One suggestion I have for this section is to put your findings in a table and organize them in chronological order. For my article, I am writing about Google Maps. I also have a History section on my page, so if you are interested in the code for a formatted table you can use my layout. Another suggestion I have for this section is to include when significant updates were made.

b) Features:

I like your features section so far! I like that you have sub-headers for both Amazon Prime and Prime Originals so far. I understand that this part is probably not finished yet, so here are a few things that I think are worth exploring:

- Discussing the header of the site (Home, Free to me, Store, etc.).

- Looking into the “Movies we think you’ll like” recommendation. You could look into the algorithm behind their recommendations, when this feature was added, how they decide what films are similar to films you have already watched, and more.

- Discussing the difference between “kids” and “normal” Amazon Prime. You could potentially connect this to the “Unregulated Content” section under “Ethical Concerns”, but be careful of bias. Additionally, you could discuss what makes a program fit for kids (maybe it is the rating, style of film or something else; these are just my guesses).

- You could add a section about how to filter the different movies and shows (Genres, language, etc.).

For my suggestions above, you could add them to the features section directly as sub-headers, or you could make more headers.

c) Ethical Concerns:

I really like your section on Unregulated Content so far! I like the fact you added from Ampere Analysis. I think one thing you could add to this section is specific examples of content that made its way to Amazon but should not be there (however, watch out for bias). Here are some other topics you could add to this section:

- One topic that we discussed in class that is relevant to your ethics section of your Wiki page is how things are categorized. I briefly touched on this idea above when I mentioned filtering, so I think that you could either give this its own section or add it under the ethics section depending on your research.

- I found an article that discusses different ethical concerns regarding Amazon Prime such as personal financial cost, delivery and more. I am not sure if the article itself is credible because it is a blog, but it is a good starting point if you want to do further research. Sources

Overall, your sources look good! However, I am not sure if “failory.com” is reliable. I can’t find an author on the website, but I do see that it includes references.

3) Clarity

In general, I think you did a nice job at getting the main point across in the sections you have finished. The issue at stake is clear to me, and I understand why unregulated content is a problem. Have there been any lawsuits or complaints related to this issue?

4) Objective Reporting (Neutral POV)

I think that your point of view is neutral overall. You present the information without bias, and you have sources that back up what you are stating. Maybe you can get some opinions from both sides of the issue?

One suggestion I have is for this sentence in your Unregulated Content section: “As Amazon Prime Video has been a newer streaming service compared to the likes of established services like Netflix and Hulu, Amazon's strategy has been focused on amassing large volumes of content to give it the competitive edge.” Instead of mentioning how it is a competition between Netflix and Hulu, I would rephrase to just say “Since its initial release, Amazon Prime Video has amassed large volumes of content”. I am not sure if talking about “strategy” violates the neutral point of view requirement.

Additionally, the rubric says not to use "synonyms for said" and listed "find" as an example. You use the word "found" in your Unregulated Content section, so be careful of that.

Overall, I really like what you have so far! It is completely up to you if you want to use my suggestions above.

Good luck with finishing the rest of your article! :)
