NPR's Hidden Brain podcast had an interesting episode on Airbnb which discussed how racial profiling affects the market for rentals and renters. It may offer some interesting analysis for the article!

WikiSysop: This article is very close to Blue Star status. The lead paragraph needs to be reworked substantively to reflect the structure of the article and to telegraph the ethical issues that will be discussed below. One more good pass to improve the completeness and consistency of the references.

I added some sections about Airbnb and the housing market. Being from San Francisco, I am very aware of the effects that the rise of Airbnb has had on the city and its residents. I found it kind of interesting to use something that I was a little aware of from my own experience and then to delve into researching it to find some of the facts and truths underlying my initial understanding and assumptions. My brother also currently works at Airbnb so I felt especially connected to this article as I have a bit of an insider prospective, I've been to their offices, etc. I definitely think it's a cool company but they definitely have some ethical/legal issues that they will need to deal with as they continue to expand.
