Shelly Winter is currently co-editor of Nintendo Power Magazine. She graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) with a degree in journalism and international studies. She has previously worked with the quality and assessment branch at Nintendo's headquarters in Osaka, Japan. Her interest in gaming sparked during her time at Nintendo and greatly influenced her participation in video game culture. She stayed in Japan for four years working with Nintendo as well as exploring the different types of games available in Japan. Her top favorite games include classics like Pokemon, StarFox 64, and Super Smash Bros. During her free time she enjoys watching movies and sailing with her family and their beagle in their home in San Diego, California. She is s frequent attender of E3, Anime Expo, and Comic Con.
