Paul Conway is not a student, in the formal sense of term, but he is a life-long learner.  As the instructor for the course, '''Professor Conway''' is learning from the students, learning along with the students, and learning one step ahead of the students, usually.  Professor Conway earned his right to be called "Professor" by completing a doctoral dissertation at the University of Michigan in 1991.  At the School of Information, Professor Conway is one of 35 faculty members and is active in teaching and researching on issues related to archives, preservation, and digital libraries.  Once he thought he wanted to be a photojournalist, but realized that such a profession is really a contact sport not much different than rugby.  So he has retained his interest in all things visual, but has focused his career in areas that most of the time are much less physically demanding.
