The Matrix is a science-fiction/action film that was released on March 31, 1999 in the United States. The film was written by Larry and Andy Wachowski also known as "The Wachowskis" or "The Wachowski Brothers". The film centers around a computer hacker named Neo who learns that the fate of the world rests on his shoulders when a group of rebels reveal the true nature of reality to him.
