Comment #1: Matt Benjamin Overall your avatar page has some really interesting points about Facebook in general, however I only heard a few sentences that actually talked about your Facebook use. Many of the ideas you mentioned may have fit better in the blogging assignment a the beginning of the semester. This page reminds me of a (very interesting) report on how people use Facebook rather than a description of how you use it.

There are two different ways that I can see this becoming a description of your avatar. First, Try to add a sentence or two to every paragraph relating that topic to your personal use. You do this in the security setting paragraph, however it might be interesting to see this throughout the post. The second way I could see this becoming more about your avatar is to take your current ideas and make them mostly about you rather than users in general. For example your fourth paragraph speaks about how people use social media. Instead of p=making this paragraph about all users take the facts you currently use and use them to write about how you use social media. Doing this throughout you whole paper would allow you to still share your knowledge about social media but also create a narrative about yourself.

As I said in the beginning your page makes very interesting points about social media, but it was kind of hard to follow, especially while writing about it in this comment. If you could break up your page with more headings it would make it easier to follow. This would translate into a stronger narrative of your involvement with social media.

Comment #2: Megan Carroll I liked your points at the end about how people use Facebook and what its "placement in society" should be. I think it could be interesting if you used these points to pull into how you personally use Facebook a little more or how it helped to shape your social life on or offline. I thought your intro was funny and it was interesting to see how you first jumped onto Facebook and I thought this was helpful insight for how you proceeded to use Facebook, but I think you can strengthen this by comparing your online persona to your true offline personality more. Adding more about what you do today or what you use Facebook for today would help this. Good job!
