Hey Alex, You are off to an excellent start with your article. It was very detailed and does a good job of explaining what the issue is and why it is essential to learn about it. I think your article is a little under 1400 words so far. This was good for the initial draft, and mine is a work in progress too, so it’s no problem. The article is structured well already. The opening does a good job of quickly explaining to the reader what surveillance capitalism and weak agency are, and this is good as lots of people won’t know those terms at all. I think you could say a little more about why these issues are so important and how big the impact could be. The argument you have is backed up by good sources. You have a consistent format so that is good as I think the prof said we can use whichever style we want. It would be easy to check the sources, as used the same source but specified exactly what page it was from each time. The issue at stake is made pretty clear in this article. You did a good job of explaining the situation and giving the context to what everything means. You explained what the issue is and are starting to dive into why it is essential and how it could impact people. You did a good job of keeping it objective while stating facts and backing it up with sources. While thinking about writing from a neutral point of view we should make sure that we're not arguing for anything, and simply explaining the issues at hand from all sides. I thought this was a great draft so far, and found your topic very interesting to read about, as I think it is an issue that impacts practically everybody today!
