Comment from Catherine Grillo: Hi Sean – I enjoyed reading your wiki page! First, I really liked the organization of your piece, I like that the social media section was split up into different platforms. This made the article readable and gave the reader a preview of what you will be talking about. I also liked your analysis of how accurate your online identity is. I thought your points were insightful and interesting. I especially liked your discussion as to why you think Facebook has the most accurate information on you. I had never thought that your online identity might become more accurate through the posts of other people, so I thought this was a very clever way for you to frame this analysis. One thing I might suggest is diving deeper into why you think the data broker information was inaccurate or incomplete. I think this could be interesting to explore, and you could even try sifting through their privacy statements to see if it gives any clues as to where the information is coming from. Additionally, I think it could be useful to maybe explain why you did or did not use incognito mode in Google. Overall, I really enjoyed reading your page and I thought your analysis was insightful and well-written!

Hi Sean! Overall great job on your wiki, I really enjoyed reading it! Oftentimes when people think of others’ social media, they think of the content the user produces themselves, but I really liked how for Facebook you talked about others posting photos/content of you, and for Twitter you talked about retweeting others’ posts - both of which are not content created by you. This gave a unique perspective on the idea that social media is not just about what one shares about themselves, but what others share about them/what others share at large. As someone from Michigan, I would be curious to know about the results that came up for you on michiganresidentdatabase.com and would recommend adding those results/how accurate they are. I also think it would be interesting to compare/contrast what actually showed up on the data broker site with the truth. I was surprised to learn that even though you, your father, and grandfather have the same name that none of it was accurate, but I would be interested in learning more about how far off the information was. This was a very well-written, easy to understand piece - great job!
