Hi Sam, Love this piece! To begin with, I really like the structure of your media statement. The introduction paragraph immediately captures my attention, and it is concise. You start from a broader perspective (How tech influences society) and then narrow it down to an individual level in order to emphasize the nature of this problem- and I find that very interesting. In addition, I really find the distinction between one’s digital footprint accurately measuring their online embeddedness vs failing to accurately reflect their personality to be significant as I think it gives rise to ethical problems. All in all, the only thing that I can think of would be to incorporate additional concepts like ethical implications of this situation as well as how it relates to power dynamics. Overall, Great Work!
