Great job on creating such an engaging page!  It was a great getting to know you a better through your analysis of your Facebook page. I found your section "Late to the Party" really interesting, it seemed like you had a lot of apprehension about using Facebook as an avatar long before this class. I just have a couple suggestions for you to work on!

Firstly, I think you can definitely expand of the section where you talk about almost becoming a "stalker". It might be interesting to use the lens of "authenticity" in understanding other people's user generated content. Were you absorbing someone else's false image? In your section "out of character", you touch on a similar theme, especially in concerns about your post being more popular. Do you think it was because the content was more personal?

Secondly, what are your reservations about posting statuses and other personal details? Do you think they stem from the idea that Facebook can't portray you in the way you want? There is a section about "risks of public disclosure" from the reading, which ask questions about self-exploration when you have an audience. It might be a direction you could go. Just some questions you can use to help analyze your behaviors on Facebook! I think just answering the question "why?", as Professor Conway mentioned, would be a great way to get your content to be more analytical.

Hello Michelle!

Overall, you did a great job! I appreciate the time you put into your autobiography!

Michelle- I've just now clicked on your finished page for the first time and i immediately laughed at your 'reaction to seeing snow for the first time'. My first impression is excited to read, due to your titles, and hilarious picture. You're so cute and I can see this come through in your language!

Knowing you, I'm not 100% surprised you were so late to the party getting on to social media. You're lucky, you don't have your middle school life recorded. This is sad for me though, because I can't go look at embarrassing photos. Good though, because you can portray the real you accurately, without an old, and more immature self to replace. I think having a fb since junior year though will show enough growth but I can't help feel a loss without seeing 2009 you.

In your introvert/extrovert section, I think it may be beneficial to talk about posts you have made, like a recent status or photo. For example I resisted from posting my university of Michigan acceptance on facebook, because everyone was doing it. Maybe you could expand on the reasons for specific posts you have chosen to post, and how that shapes your introverted self on facebook. Maybe add a couple profile pictures since you actually do post those.

I loved your addition in 'out of character' and I did read it on facebook and enjoyed it! I think including this really helped define yourself as a non-frequent facebook user, but also let the reader know more about you. Overall It was a great read and I enjoyed it!
