Hi Malaysha! Wow! I really enjoyed reading your article! I can tell you have a great sense of humor and really enjoy showcasing that through your social media. I thought your analysis of how you use social media (if you are active versus lurking) and how it effects your self-esteem was extremely interesting and I found that the results sort of apply to me as well. I think for your revision, it would be beneficial to add more examples of the type of posts you do and how/why you were more willing to self-present yourself more truthfully now than before. I think you could definitely tie this with the self-presentation and privacy readings for class. Overall, great job and I am looking forward to reading more of your articles! -Jamie Leeds

hi laysha! your article was fun, and i liked the way you used examples of your evolving use of social media to exemplify your awareness of what it means to maintain a "clean and professional" presence online. you also provided an authentic window into what your online activity says about you, and what shapes the content you associate with yourself. i also liked your description of how social media affects your self-esteem on a daily basis—it was thought provoking, and maybe you could bring in a related reading to further the idea. when describing what someone would learn about you based on your profile, you could also delve more into the ramifications of being fully transparent on social media. great job overall! —matt wolfgram

Hi Malaysha,

I thought your article was very interesting. I'm glad I decided to pick your article to read, it was very entertaining and informative. You transition between your different stages of Facebook well and its easy to see how you changes as you have grown up as a person. In your first section, I would write more about your motivations to originally create a fake Facebook account. It would also be interesting to know why you only had a fake account and not a real account at this time, (if that was the case). I also liked your in depth analysis of your own Facebook usage. Writing about your emotions and and feelings towards different Facebook posts helps to highlight your online identity. Finally, I loved how you talked about your online identity in realization to your fake account. I was able to understand the differences between your two types of usage, but if you could elaborate more on each type, that would be great.

Nice job, Chase Austin
