Juan:

I really liked the layout of your wiki page! I’m not quite sure if you tried to mimic a Wikipedia page, but it does seem like one! Also, I appreciate you sharing some personal information about yourself in the “Who Am I?” section. Considering this is a technology ethics class and this particular assignment is about data privacy and protection, I wasn’t really expecting people to share that much info about themselves. Your move was quite bold and daring, but I do like it.

Furthermore, your pictures also add a lot to the wiki entry. Not only are they all related to what you’re talking about in the text version of your wiki, but they also provide evidence to support the claims you made there. You also shared a picture of yourself that was not found on Google, which I think is a great addition.

Commenting on your Google analysis, I found it interesting that your search results were somewhat tied and correlated to you. In this case, it was associated with the keyword “Puerto Rico”, I assume.

I also thought it was quite intriguing that your Databroker search came out unfruitful. Although I know that the Databroker search engine is useful for US citizens of the major states, I also assumed that citizens from Guam, Puerto Rico, etc., would should up, but it appears to not be the case. Moreover, this became even weirder when you mentioned that you had a driver’s license from Michigan and that you had voted here before. I guess this is a good thing for you, however, as you mentioned by the end of the wiki entry that you would prefer to have your personal information private. I would, however, include results from other databroker services just to confirm that it was InstantCheckmate that didn’t have any information on you. I think this might benefit your statements and add further evidence that there isn’t much information about you online, despite your social media use and involvement in the country.

Overall, I think you had a pretty good wiki entry. It was concise, well-illustrated, and it revealed a lot about you even though there wasn’t much information on you online. Specifically, I appreciate your own personal input on this page. For instance, I didn’t want to add anything revealing about myself that couldn’t be found online.

I hope you find this helpful.

Best,

William Zhang Sam
