You described your great family moves at the age of your grandfather, the mispronunciation of your name, which finally leads to its mistranslation. Since your name is uncommon in both Chinese and English, you expect that you could not find much about you on the Internet, even in the data broker report. It is very interesting that if you try to find information about your brother, part of your information shows up. This may reveal some flaws in the current algorithm of data collection. Hi Jason! Great piece. I also have a unique name and don't know anyone else who has my name. I think there are a lot of moments where you could go deeper into your analysis. You explain your search and say what you find, but how does that affects your online identity? That one photo you thought was private, but ended up being public, how does that make you feel or affect how you will use online tools in the future? You say you saw mathematical drawings on Google. Does this give you any information on your identity? In your Web Search section, you said you could see how in many ways this could be a complicating factor...how? Hi Jason, I found your data identity report very interesting and entertaining to read! Given that you do have a unique name compared to others, it was interesting to read that you actually didn't find that much information about yourself. However the fact that the first picture that popped up on google images was actually yourself is interesting! I couldn't find anything about myself even in the 4th or 5th search pages because of my common name. One thing I would be more interested reading about is maybe a comparison between your brothers data report and yours! Were the relatives and other information accurate and correct? I'm curious about the whole sibling aspect of data identities because siblings are probably the closest to you. Also, maybe you can elaborate more on your thoughts regarding if you are going to be more careful or aware about how you use the internet in the future or if this experience changed your perspective on things.
