Hanping:

I appreciate the conciseness of your wiki entry. I believe it’s appropriate in length and it was quite easy to read. I also found it interesting that you started off by sharing your findings from Baidu. Logically, it does make sense for you to start with Baidu, as you found more success over there. I wonder if it would be more beneficial for students who have spent most of their time in China to search themselves on Baidu rather than Google, assuming that said students used the Chinese social media counterparts.

As for suggestions, the first thing I noticed was the lack of images on your page. Considering this is your first draft, I would highly recommend adding pictures as part of page formatting and to make the reading more interesting if you haven’t considered it yet. The pictures don’t have to be extravagant, even adding a photo that shows no matches for your name in Databroker websites will enhance your claim by adding some visual evidence and stimulus.

Talking about formatting, I would also suggest you spend some time playing around with this. I acknowledge that we are probably all new to wiki-style writing, but right now your page is just comprised of blocks of text with a very “default” layout. Make sure to look into a table of contents, as this can help readers navigate through your page.

I really liked your last paragraph, as I believe that it incites questions and can be a discussion opener. I personally agree with your perspective; in today’s day and age, I truly think that privacy is close to non-existent and the problem seems to be getting worse by the day.

My last note would be to go over grammar and syntax before your final publication, as I did note some mistakes throughout your wiki entry.

I hope you find this helpful.

Best,
