Hi Erika! This was a very well written post. I liked how you included the outcomes of trying to use data broker sites to discover information about you and that some of the sites require you to spend money on these profiles. You also mentioned rarely posting on social media sites, and yet, the links you found from the search queries with your name were mostly to your social media accounts. Perhaps you could include specific examples and analysis of this in your conclusion as well and tie it in with how it does not represent your entire character. In addition, you talked about people not knowing the terms & agreements of accounts for websites, and in turn information gets revealed to the internet without people knowing. I would be curious if you could find a specific example about this and add it to that section, too. Overall, I fairly enjoyed your statement, good job!

Nice job on your page, Erika! I enjoyed reading your experience with truthfinder as I had nearly the same exact thoughts as you did when I used it. I also think you had many good points in your “Analysis of My Digital Identity” section that I wished I had realized when I wrote my page.

I liked hearing what you had to say about the ethics of data brokers, but I also feel like that content is less about your identity and more of something that would make for a good blog post or MediaWiki article. I would recommend explaining more deeply the things you found online about you and discuss whether they truthfully represent you or not.

I appreciate that you explained what a data broker was, but I also think that this is the type of thing you would just mention with the assumption that everyone understands it (and link to a definition of it for those who don’t) and not something that you’d want to spend part of your wordcount on. Also, while you did only need to include two images, I think adding additional relevant images would help spice up your page a little bit more!
