The article body text is 898 words in length. When including titles, it is slightly above 900 words. The article contains an opening paragraph that summarizes the issue. There is one grammar error in the summary after the quote that should be fixed. Also the last sentence of the summary paragraph states the purpose of the article, which I would probably remove. Other than that, I think the paragraph summarizes the issue well. The body was separated into different sections, but some of the body doesn’t have references to support it. The WhatsApp section has no references to support the information in that section. For the Signal section that talks about the subpoena the company received, the reference used was from Signal itself and the body for that section was biased in Signal’s favor. I think finding a different reference that is more objective or a second reference to explain the opposing view, and writing the body in a way that is more informational would be beneficial. While the summary paragraph states that there is an ethical issue with the clarity companies have about their encryption policies, the article itself doesn’t really discuss the ethical implications. Making the ethical implications more explicit could be a good idea for the final revised version. For the final version of the article, work towards finding more references that aren’t from Signal itself. For WhatsApp and the other encrypted messaging apps, make sure to find objective sources and write about them in an objective way. -- Many of the direct sources that I pulled from Signal were placeholder until I found more specific information from better sources. I have more references to materials from independent journalists that I have found that I will be replacing these links with. The WhatsApp portion was just started. I had rewritten the Signal portion several times over because I wasn't happy with the way that it was structured. I am currently in progress of expanding the sources and topics to be covered in the next sections. (Also apologies for the length, a portion got deleted when I was transferring from Word to MediaWiki and I didn't notice before submitting) @benproe
