I’ve also had a history of playing several MMORPGs and RPGs in general where the creation of avatars is essential and I’m inclined to agree with you on your point that there really isn’t much of a need for extremely detailed avatars in-game. The details of the avatar are indeed not as important as the avatars actions and advancement throughout the game itself.

I thought you did a good job in documenting the issues you experienced while creating your self portrait avatar, but think that you could have made better use of your two outside sources throughout your reflection as a whole.

Your description of your frustrations throughout the process of creating your self portrait avatar were thorough and, I believe, accurate. However, throughout those descriptions I think you could have done a better job using your Body Image and Self-image wiki sources to further elaborate your points, as well as bring in outside sources to anchor your reflection in information other than just your personal opinions. You may have done this, and I may have missed it, but I do not recall any concrete references to your two sources in your writings.

Your writing was clear and very natural. I never found myself questioning the delivery of any of the ideas you expressed through your writings. The organization of your reflection was great, and you separated your content well with the use of descriptive headers.

Like you and J Watts, I also have had some experience MMORPGs. I've played MMORPGs of many kinds, varying from simple 2D-Final-Fantasy-level-graphics, to ones similar to WoW... and throughout all these games I have not needed to create a detailed avatar. I agree that time is better spent on actually playing the game rather than creating your character. On the other hand MMORPGs are 'role playing' games so there is some need to create a unique avatar, but this the level of detail provided by these game's is usually sufficient.

In your reflection, you clearly state the shortcomings of the Evolver software as well as the challenges you faced when trying to create the avatar. When describing the limitations of the software, you do a good job of also including some reflection but I felt you could have included a little more description of what characteristics you ended up choosing.

Your two sources are very relevant to the topic but I'm not sure where the sources are used. I can see the general concepts used in your reflection but I felt it could have been expanded upon, such as describing how your body/self-image changed.

Overall, it's a well written and honest reflection and you utilized the wikipedia style well.
