Introduction

I think I can answer when and where I was born. Those aren't hard questions; the answers are to the right. The trickiest question I have to answer is "who is my creator?" I don't mean Mike Z or the server admins, but my User. The one I'm supposed to represent. The one I'm supposed to know everything about.

Conflict

I'd like to admit something. I don't know where our relationship is going -between Pavel and I. I mean, I think I used to...but not any more. I know he's a conflicted person. I don't mean that in the sense that he's emotionally tortured -or at least I don't think he is- but if he is, he doesn’t show it. And that's what I want to talk about.

As far as I can tell, Pavel Borisov performs for others. In his status updates, in his photos, and in real life. He's been posing for photos since the day I was born. He did this...trademark pose in a lot of his photos up till 2009? Not only that, but he apparently does this Forensics thing? It's not the investigative thing they do to dead people, but instead it's some kind of...public speaking and acting thing? I think it's competititve too, given some photos show him holding a small trophy and a larger one along with a bunch of other people in other photos. Regardless, he was both pretty good at it and not afraid to mess around when he wasn't competing based on the photos people were posting of him. After 2009 the photos he actively poses for decline. However, he dopes show up tagged in a bunch of theater photos and videos. Shakespeeare in the Arb and RC Players are both things that he's regularly tagged in or comments on/likes.

The status updates are almost always addressed to his friends to comment on too. They're always humorous, have a political bent, or both. But...

But it's like I don't even know him anymore!

This is every profile pic he's ever used, from 2008 onward. None of the actual photos of him were uploaded by him.

This is really embarrassing for a profile to admit, but…did you know that in all the years he’s had me, he's never actually given me a photo of himself? Every single one of the profile pictures he's used was either "set as profile picture" from another user's album, something he got from somewhere on the internet, or things I think he drew himself. That tells me likes to draw sometimes, but not about his social relationships. The number of pictures he's is tagged in is fairly small. But that's normal, right?

Look at that summary. He's only uploaded 23 photos, *including* the ones that he took from other people's albums. That's what bugs me. It's like he doesn't want me to know who he is! Even up till 2010 he had photos with friends he hung out with. Now all I see is photos of theater friends. From his wall posts, I get that he sometimes talks to a few other people, but there's nothing about stuff that happened recently. Just a few jokes or references to recent events, or a political statement.

Blank! And what isn't blank is either fairly meaningless, or completely nonsensical. It's like he doesn't want me to know anything about him!.

His personal info is blank. He's never told me where he works, lived, graduate, or anything. All the info he gives me I can get from his wall posts. I mean, sure, he did mention that he got a job interview, but not where. That's something I'm supposed to tell people! I'm a profile! I was built so he could tell everyone else about himself. How do you think that makes me feel as a profile? It's almost like he doesn't want me to know anything about himself.

And you know what, after looking at his photos, I think that's true. I don't think he's tagged anyone in the photos he's posted, unless they're in a drawing. He's liking less and less pages. In 2010, he liked 11. In 2011, he's liked 4. This year, he liked only one single page. Photos are telling me less and less about who he hangs out with, as if he doesn't want photos posted. His statuses, his political posts about censorship about privacy and surveillance make me think he's becoming one of those...those...privacy nuts.

I'm scared.

Will he delete me?
