Microsoft, formally known as Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), is an American multinational computer technology corporation headquartered in Redmond, Washington, that is engaged in developing, licensing, and supporting a range of software products and services related to computing. [1] [2] Microsoft was founded on April 4th, 1975, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but relocated to Washington State in 1979. [3] Its products includes operating systems for personal computers, servers, phones, and other intelligent devices; server applications, productivity applications; business solution applications; desktop and server management tools; software development tools; video games; and online advertising. Microsoft also provides cloud-based solutions, consulting services, product services, and solution support services [4] As Microsoft continues to expand its products and services, there have been several ethical issues revolving around its business practices such as censorship, privacy, and copyright issues.
