Iris recognition, as the name suggests, is a biometric verification method that utilizes the pattern of iris, the colored circular structure in the eye, to confirm people's identity. Similar to face recognition and fingerprinting, the iris for each individual has unique patterns and therefore can be used to distinguish one person from the others.
