Grand Theft Auto V (commonly known as GTA V) is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It is the fifth installment of the Grand Theft Auto Series, and was released on September 17, 2013 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and over a year later on November 18, 2014 for the Xbox One and Playstation 4. The game takes place in San Andreas, which is loosely based off of Southern California.
