Cybersex is engaging in sexual activities through a virtual interaction which can happen via pictures, video, and messaging over the internet. Urbandictionary.com defines cybersex as "A simulation of sex performed in a chat room, via roleplaying, between a male and a male pretending to be a female." [1] This tongue-in-cheek definition brings forth some ethical considerations about cybersex. How does one know if the person with whom he 'cybers' is who he or she claims to be? There are also considerations about cheating if one or more individuals involved in cybersex is in a relationship with someone other than their cybersex partner. Some may ask whether cybersexual partners are among an individual's sexual partners, or whether there is a physical sexual component to cybersex. Other concerns have been raised regarding sexual violation in cyberspace and sexual harassment through the use of the internet.
