Hi Maximilian, I chose to comment on your autobiographical statement because I appreciated the creativity of your writing. I appreciated your unique use of the analogy of being a director of the presentation of self that appears on your Facebook, and liked that the structure of your statement is similar to that of a movie review. The structure of the writing created a nice flow of content across the different sections.

You wrote clearly and concisely. The idea that you share articles and interact with content true to your identity so long as that content is written and presented appropriately is easily understood. From your statement I gather that you have no intention of being untrue to your identity when you choose not to post or interact with certain, more risqué content, even if it resonates with you. You are simply conscious of the fact that other people, for example potential employers, can and will makes judgments about you based on the content in your Facebook profile, and I can appreciate and respect your effort to prevent possible negative impressions. People do this in real life as well, it is just harder to curate your image in real time.

Because you admit that you sometimes curate your content online, I think it makes your assessment of your identity on Facebook more genuine and believable to readers. Despite a couple of unsubstantial grammatical errors (i.e. in the pictures section, the wrong tense of become is used), I think your statement overall was well and creatively written.

Best, Colleen
