He was sent on a rehab assignment to Trenton on July 15 and then Scranton/Wilkes-Barre July 18. He was supposed to make his 2013 debut in Texas on July 22, but an MRI on an injured quad July 21 showed a Grade 1 strain. He's being sent back to the team's complex in Tampa for rest and treatment. He was returned from his rehab 20-day rehab assignment, but remains on the disabled list.
