Hi, Zoe! It was interesting to read how the uniqueness of your name led to direct and authentic findings of information about you through the internet. For me, there are multiple individuals with my name, which led to inconsistent findings throughout different websites. I think exploring your Google Ad settings was a creative idea since it is it Google’s depiction of who you are based on your search data, rather than factual data like your address or phone number. Also, seeing that several results came up that you didn’t post, like your tennis records, was interesting to note because they aren’t posts you made yourself but are tied to. My suggestions would be to further discuss the ethical concerns you have about how these sites obtained your information without you knowing, like the voter ones, and what can be done with it. For example, displaying a person’s address could be a safety threat if the information falls into the wrong hands. Also, you could explain the issues with opt-out processes being unclear or tedious and the need for data privacy prioritization across the web. Overall, I think you did a great job sharing your story on your exploration into your data identity! - Erika Kohl

This was a well-written statement on your data identity, I think how you started and ended with how you like the uniqueness of your name but it makes it a potential personal data security risk. This adds to the flow of the paper, and the way you separated your statement was nice as well. You did seem to be writing this piece as if you were researching that name right at that moment, which I think is an interesting way to write the statement. You also dove into all the different sites you found on you, and I think taking us down the road on how you deleted some records on the internet was also interesting. I would say that I think that talking more about how accurate the data is to who you are would also be intriguing to read about. For example, you could discuss whether you think all the sites you found combined show the real you, or is it creating a false image. Also, are you glad that it created this false image of you or not? Otherwise, this was a very well-structured and entertaining piece to read. - Paula Luput
