Hey Tony, I really enjoyed reading you page and it gave me a lot of insight on how I can improve my own identity assignment. To start off I think you did a great job setting expectations at the beginning of your page. You acknowledged that the combination of your lack of effort to keep your identity hid on the internet and your very common last name made it very difficult to find yourself online which I think is an important point to make before diving into your paper. I think the flow of your paper was very smooth and made reading your page a fun read with a concise ending. If I had to make a suggestion, I might suggest detailing Snapchat's privacy policy as you seem to be the most involved with that platform albeit still not too frequently. Snapchat also has a feature where you can look at the categories that Snapchat places you in. Although this information is not public available to anyone besides you and Snapchat, I think adding a quick reaction to the categories that Snapchat puts you in could add to this assignment by showing exactly how accurately these platforms represent you in their eyes. Overall, great job you tied your paper together really well!

Comment from Carlos Cardenas:

Hi Tony. I think that this is a really great draft for detailing and analyzing your online identity. I think it is generally concise and avoids being verbose, and you are very direct in drawing analysis and conclusions from the bits of evidence that you do bring up. You begin with a claim about your lack of online identity and how that was expected for you, and it's great that you support these claims with details and screenshots. I think your article has great structure and flows logically, with a fitting and well-built-up-to conclusion. Something that I found quite interesting about your draft is when you mentioned TikTok. Despite you being mostly a lurker on TikTok (and your other social platforms), you remark upon the fact that based on what you like, the content you do and don't want to see, "the TikTok algorithm has narrowed my identity down with almost surgical precision." I think it would be cool if you could maybe squeeze in some conversation about the side effects or ethics of this. The success of a social platform's recommendation algorithm(s) rely heavily on your data being processed excessively, and if your TikTok feed has Tony Wang down to a science, there is some potential for unease at how your data is being used. Basically, how do you feel about the fact that who you are has a striking connection to the videos on your TikTok feed? Overall, I think you did a great job!
