Hey Nico. I think your data identity statement is looking good. It’s always the people who stay away from social media who manage to have a pretty obscure data identity, which in my opinion is a good thing. I have to say that when you mentioned the information you found on mylife.com I immediately went there to check for my own information because I didn’t come across that site in my search. Thanks! If I had to add anything I think it would be nice to hear more of your thoughts on how an obscure data identity might affect you in the real world and what you think the pros/cons are staying off social media are. Do you want to avoid it altogether? Do you think you’ll have a bigger data footprint later in life?

Hi Nico - great statement, your prose kept my attention the whole time. Under your section “they call me Nico”, I felt like you set me up to examine your name and why names are unique identifiers, listed behavior in your “real” life like fixing your car (me too!), and then brought up a threshold to compare the data against. I can see the connection between the main concepts you’re bringing up (names as unique identifiers / behavior in “real” life / a threshold to define analysis). I feel like I could use more focus and separation between concepts to help drive your clear thesis, “does my digital identity reflect these intentions?”. I am dealing with similar obstacles in my writing!
