Talk:Metaverse

This article on the Metaverse is clearly written, includes a plethora of information about what the Metaverse is (although still a complex topic), and describes how it operates. It does not seem to reach the required word count of 3,000 (+/- 100) words, but I believe it is a good start with much room to include information. If the author is looking for more topics about the Metaverse to add length to the article, I think the author can include a completely separate section about Facebook rebranding to Meta because of how prevalent that has become and because of how big of an impact Facebook has on technologies already.

This article is also well structured and includes the 3 main components of a good article for the most part. It includes an opening paragraph that introduces and summarizes the topic at hand. It also includes multiple subsections that cover different aspects of the topic (i.e. History, Examples in media, Real life and the future). The article also includes citations to back up statements made. The author seems to still be working on it, but has noted where citations need to be added, which is a great way to keep track of what needs to be cited.

This article successfully reports on controversies surrounding the Metaverse at a neutral point of view by omitting peresonal opinions on the Metaverse and excluding first person point of view. However, I believe that the article focuses too much on the harms and ethical implications of the Metaverse. To make it more neutral, the author can include a short section on some benefits or advantages of the Metaverse. Additionally, the author can move the “Real life and the future” section to the very end to leave the reader on a neutral perspective of the metaverse as well as leaving the reader to think about what the Metaverse is.
