Hi Kierra, I really enjoyed reading your page. I think you have an interesting perspective on the topic of data identity because you don't use social media in an age when most people have addictions to social media. This perspective allows you to be able to examine other parts of your online identity that others might ignore. For example, you talk about your past academic achievements being available online which is a cool part of your identity to be shown online. Furthermore, I enjoyed how you contrasted your feelings about having this online with your feelings towards having your personal info (cell phone number and past addresses online) online. I think an interesting thing you could expand on is why you are concerned about having some of this personal information online, especially when you have such a limited online identity compared to others. Lastly, speaking how you will change your identity in the future could be interesting, especially as the world moves more online every day. Overall, I really enjoyed reading your page and found your perspective on this topic fascinating.

Hi Kierra,

I was surprised that despite making an effort to stay off social media, you were able to find such personal information about yourself. I also think it is interesting how academic programs impacted your social media presence by making blog posting a part of the program. I think there is a lot to be said about the role of outside pressure on individuals to create an online presence. I am surprised that you do not have a LinkedIn account considering how many workshops at Michigan surround creating a professional networking profile. I would like to know more about your thoughts regarding how much choice you have had over your social media presence!
