Talk:Formspring

Length

At a length of roughly 93 words, this page falls short of the 3000-word requirement. You have a long ways to go, but I think you have a good topic with a lot to write about. You make mention of "Cyberbullying" and "Associated Suicides" in the controversies section, but no text has been added yet to describe them. Ethical issues can include censorship, hate speech, bullying, etc. I would advise expanding the summary paragraph since it only has bare-bones information. Grammar and language were good, though again there were not many words. Given the nature of your topic, you should have no problem meeting the 3000-word mark.

Structure

The introduction certainly introduces the topic at hand but makes no mention of the controversy surrounding Formspring. You will likely want to introduce this issue in the introduction of your article. There is no body section text to this article, but it does have headers. The history of Formspring, platform mechanics, and controversies will all be covered. I would suggest elaborating on platform mechanics quite a bit since Formspring's Q&A feature was so unique among social media. Consider citing articles talking about its effect and how it fostered a community ripe for cyberbullying. I'm curious how you will go about describing the controversies, given that there were so many. Perhaps you might explore direct quotes of users of the platform? There have been extensive studies done comparing cyberbullying on different social media and Formspring has naturally been included in some; perhaps you might incorporate that data. As for sources, while you don't have any yet, as I stated previously, this site has been covered in quite a few articles about cyberbullying, and I have no doubt you will be able to find fantastic sources.

Clarity

I have a fairly clear idea of where you plan to go with this article, but the issues are not made clear for a reader with no outside knowledge of the site. From what you have written so far, I assume you are going to explore cyberbullying on the platform and maybe the lack of censorship. Make sure you explain the ethical implications of cyberbullying and free speech. The article currently lacks evidence of ethical issues existing in the topic, but that is due to lack of content. I have a feeling that it's going to be included in the end and that you have an idea in mind. I'm sure you will make it concise and clear.

Objective Reporting

While there isn't a lot of words, what you did have was all objective. This is a topic where I could see it be very easy to state personal opinions. Make sure to keep avoiding that. Cyberbullying is a topic that we all (mostly) universally agree is a bad thing, but we can't state that in an objective article. Instead, you must navigate around that and be completely objective in the facts regarding cyberbullying, suicide, and Formspring. I'm sure you are up to the challenge. Once again, you have no sources yet, but I'm sure those will be added. This is obviously a topic that will have been discussed a lot. I saw a lot of blog posts regarding this topic, and you should stay clear of them as they did not provide many good sources from what I saw, nor were they objective. Scholarly articles do exist for this topic, as do some interviews with users. These will be essential to this article and maintaining a sense of objective reporting. Otherwise, best of luck and good job so far. I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
