Length

The current length of the article is 112 words (not including headings, in-text citations, references, and image captions). This is about 2,900 words shy of the target article length; however, the article’s lead, which is the only part that has been completed, is of an appropriate length according to Wikipedia’s style guidelines.

Structure

The article contains the three major components of a good article (opening lead, body, and references) and is well-structured. The only component that is fully completed at the time of reviewing is the lead.

The lead identifies and summarizes the topic (FICO Score) in a manner that establishes context accordingly. It can be further improved by briefly mentioning any noteworthy ethical concerns and/or controversies of FICO Score. Additionally, there are some minor grammatical and spelling mistakes that should be addressed:

  • Unnecessary comma in "… data analytics company, FICO …" ("… data analytics company FICO …")
  • Typo in "Fair Issac Corporation" ("Fair Isaac Corporation")
  • Missing apostrophe in "individuals" ("individuals")
  • Typo in "… determine whether or not to an individual …" ("… determine whether or not an individual …")
  • Missing space after the third citation
  • Typo in "FICO is currently the most widely used …" ("FICO Score is currently the most widely used …")
  • Unnecessary capitalization in "The United States of America" ("the United States of America")
  • Unnecessary article and missing comma in "…, the eighth version of the FICO Score is used …" ("…, the eighth version of FICO Score, is used …")
  • Missing comma in "Commonly referred to as the “big three” they are …" ("Commonly referred to as the “big three”, they are …")

The body of the article is not yet complete, but it has been divided into sections and subsections that seem very fitting for the topic.

The references are consistently formatted (APA style). The sources used by the article are quite reliable. The only improvements are to ensure the appropriate portions of each reference are italicized and that URLs do not include any Scroll to Text Fragments.

Although not necessary, it would be helpful if the article hyperlinks to other Wikipedia articles.

Clarity

The issues (ethical and otherwise) of FICO Score have not been discussed but are identified by the article’s sections and subsections. They include racial bias, debt discrimination, and inaccuracies resulting from credit invisibility, risk, big data, and artificial intelligence.

Objective Reporting (Neutral Point of View)

The article’s lead remains objective, cites information, and contains no personal opinions or arguments made by the author. Other components of the article, including discussion of ethical issues and controversies regarding FICO Score, have not yet been written. As it stands, the article maintains a neutral point of view.
