First of all, the length of this article and comments on it only have about 1300 words long. And the word requirement of this article should be about 3000 words long. Although it is ok if the article is about 100 words shorter or longer, this article still needs 1600 words to complete.

This article has the 3 basic components of a good article, but it still needs a lot more deep development. It includes a great opening paragraph that summarizes the issue of “Digital Feminism in China,” and a comprehensive background or the origins of the “MeToo Movement”, which is the beginning of the digital feminism movement. Although the body of the article is in many sections, I think it still needs more objective analysis for each section. The whole article is a little scattered, which can easily make the audience or readers unable to find the main idea or easily distracted by other information. Although this article has made a simple summary and elaboration from all sections, every point of it has not been deeply interpreted and explained. Personally speaking, if the author has a deeper interpretation at every point, the number of words in this article will also be greatly improved. In the “Prominent Cases” section, I think this article needs to cite more cases to enhance credibility and richness. What’s more, the seriousness and consequences of this article are not mentioned. In fact, the result of this problem is an increasingly serious problem of confrontation between men and women. Every time the gender topic spreads on Weibo can easily lead to the topic of confrontation between men and women, which is common. Collective shelling of male or female rights will only amplify the contradiction. The reason behind the confrontation between men and women is the problem that needs our in-depth thinking.

This article reports these ethical issues or controversies objectively with some references to reliable sources. Therefore, I think the author needs more information sources to support the objectives. For this ethical issue, because human nature is necessarily selfish, and there must be an intersection between the two sexes, there must be selfish ideas on both sides in the process of communication, which might lead to contradictions. As we all know, gender conflicts exist not only in China, but also in the United States, Japan, and Europe. However, this article does not explain why feminism issues and gender conflicts on the Internet have a greater impact in China than in other countries. Therefore, I think the author needs to analyze the background of China. On the surface, it is a society of equality between men and women. But in practice, there is a tendency of patriarchal society. China has had a patriarchal society for 5000 years. When it comes to equal rights between men and women, it will only be about 100 years. People’s social ideology and habits are still under the patriarchal model. For example, children and their father’s family name is one of the habits of a patriarchal society. Therefore, women are often accused of abusing or flooding women’s rights in the struggle for equal rights between men and women.

The confrontation between men and women is very normal and inevitable. Different people will always have different views on the same topic due to different growth backgrounds, educational differences, and personality characteristics. After men and women in China break through the shackles of society and pursue themselves, that men are not only men in the physiological sense and women can also be all kinds of women, and they all require acceptance and equality, people who have accepted the concept of the strict distinction between men and women for a long time will naturally reject views contrary to their logical cognition. Unconsciously, sex differences become opposites, men’s rights become patriarchy and women’s rights become feminism. No one has any middle ground for this issue. On this social issue, I think the author can analyze some solutions in combination with China’s national conditions and background and discuss whether the digital feminism in China of gender opposition will decrease in the future.
