Awais Chaudhry's review of Arif Jamaluddin's data identity post

Hey Arif, the identity statement was interesting especially the part where the Michigan Residence Database had a whole lot of information about you that might be harmful to you in terms of security. The details at the beginning of the statement about your searches and personal website flow well with the content. The only aspect I would suggest you improve on is to explain your stance on how you felt that you had control over your privacy better because, considering the Michigan Residence Database, I believe that it would be an interesting discussion to have because we all have remnants of information on the Internet that we may/may not have control over. The other part is that you indicate that how today’s society should be more careful regarding their privacy, I suggest you link the body paragraphs to this concept to make it easier for the reader to understand the intent of your writing.

John Wisniewski's review of Arif Jamaluddin's data identity post

Overall, I thought your post was very interesting. I found similar results when exploring my own data identity, so it was surprising to see this reflected in your piece. I think you did a great job explaining your identity and also its impacts. It was very clear how your online identity reflected your real identity. I also really enjoyed the conclusions you drew about your identity, I think you made some really good points, especially about your voting information. For the quality of the piece, I feel that the overall style could be improved. Especially in the first paragraph under “Accuracy of Information,” it felt some of the sentences could be connected better. I really liked the last sentence in this paragraph though, it made a great point. Other than that, I thought the ordering and flow was pretty good!
